Mitchell Rishty has over 12 years of experience in the construction industry. While completing his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland, Mitchell started his career in construction, working for a local real estate developer completing construction on the first two phases of a 1.4 million square foot 2500-bed student housing complex. He then went on to work for a multinational construction company, completing construction on various projects in the DC metro area including office buildings, high-end apartment complexes, pharmaceutical production facilities, as well as a high-security office/administration building for the US Army Corps of Engineers. Mitchell then spent three years in New York City working as a Development/Construction Manager on the redevelopment of the existing George Washington Bridge Bus Station in a Joint-Venture with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. Construction included a new state of the art bus terminal for PANYNJ and the addition of over 120,000 SF of retail space. Then in January of 2017, looking to relocate back to the DC area, Mitchell joined the Sugar Mill team as Vice President, working with Alex and John to manage ongoing pre-construction and construction operations, develop new business and position Sugar Mill for long-term success in the years to come.
